Fire and Brimstone

You spring toward the door, the fire pushes against the door

Each breath you take consumes your life in ash.

You cannot see the light as the smoke fills the room.

The heat rages on, pushing against your face,

Harder and harder, you reach for the door.

Breaking past the flames, you dance with the fire.

You reach the front of the house.

Everything is covered in ash, burning in flames.

You cannot escape the heat anymore.

The sky is gleaming in shades of fiery reds.

The panic has ensued. Torture is the day.

The end of the world has come.

Can you escape the inescapable?
