The Walls that Divide Us

The empty room is quite

No sense could compromise the emptiness

The feeling of being alone

The thought of feeling lonely

Just the nerves under the skin

Banging at the wall in the brain

Let me out, let me be free

No stimulation to be found

Only the thought racing in your head

To the silence we grafted to feel nothing

When will this cycle end

Revolutions of Rapids

We are tethered to a whisper, all the thoughts are adrift to a dream. We can’t help but want more in this world. With all the dampness of a cellar we reach to break the doors, break the silence. If all the things we could have would unfold, then no effort would be required. There is no lesson that can be taught without doubt.

To venture the experience ourselves we are found at a fork, did we make the right choice? Should we have listened to the warnings or the teacher to the lesson. No one can experience it like you, we are given advice but it is not learned until we choose. Life isn’t given to lean, rather to learn. Don’t take my advice, just live.

The Dawn that Shines

The momentum swiftly moves forward

The days get colder

The nights get shorter

The days seem to blend

A new year approaches

A new destiny appears over the hills

It is time to push forward

The balance is in restoration

In harmony we stay

To the new day we come

For Each that Linger

With every breath I breathe

I still don’t want to move on

This pain is water

The sense is nicotine

Why are you such a burden on my life

Why can’t I stop inhaling you

The pain you take isn’t worth the pain you give

I want to quit but my body doesn’t

My mind is stronger than you

I will quit even if it takes me till the grave

Standard

Grains of the Wind

Can you see the pain behind my eyes

The tyranny of the lost

You say you can understand what it means to lose

The feeling of abandonment

The feeling of a part of you

You won’t understand how I feel

At least not until you’ve lost a part of your Soul

This feeling has been here all my life

Just let me pass in peace
